SEND Teacher (Dyslexia Specialism)

Amity International school is looking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and highly motivated  Teacher  with a dyslexia specialism to support our SEND pupils in the Primary school.

The school currently has 1500 pupils. However, we are expecting a huge expansion for Academic Year 2020-2021 . Hence, we are looking to recruit new outstanding teachers to join our successful team.

The successful applicant must have:

- B.Ed. or degree and PGCE AND preferably a post graduate certificate/further qualification in SEND (e.g. National SENDCo Award)

-     The ability to share outstanding practice to support learners with additional needs

- A particular qualification/experience of working with pupils with dyslexia/ dyscalculia would be advantageous

- The ability to develop inclusive classroom practice across the Primary school

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with pupils and parents

- A minimum of 2 years’ post qualifying teaching experience.

Interviews will be conducted in Abu Dhabi or via Skype.

Start date for this position will be as soon as possible or August 2020.

The post-holder will be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children with whom he/she comes into contact. They must ensure compliance with the School's Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy Statement at all times.
