Vision for Education are currently recruiting for a teaching assistant to support a pupil in the Manchester area, who requires additional intervention to enable them to be successful within full-time education. 

You will be required to work within mainstream schools and alternative provisions and provide 1:1 and some classroom support to help facilitate the reintegration of the allocated pupil into full-time education. You may be required to support within school on a part-time basis initially whilst a pupil’s progress is regularly reviewed with a view to increasing their timetable over a period and the role to go full time.

The ideal candidate would be a caring, resilient and patient teaching assistant with the ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of how to use visual materials and prompts within the classroom environment.  

This role will require you to work on a flexible basis with pupils to build positive, professional relationships and help each student to overcome barriers to their learning and engagement. Ideally you will have experience of supporting children with behavioural and emotional needs.
