Fixed term position due to bulge in pupil numbers, may lead to permanent position.
The governors of St Vincent’s Catholic Primary School wish to appoint a highly motivated and inspiring candidate to effectively manage and lead SEND provision across the school. The successful candidate will have strategic responsibility for Inclusion across the school and work closely with the Inclusion Manager/Deputy Headteacher.
We are looking to appoint someone with experience of working with students with a range of additional needs and knowledge of the SEND agenda and who believes that every child will experience a sense of achievement. You will regularly monitor and analyse progress against targets for pupils with SEN and confidently evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning. Communication skills will be exemplary in liaising with staff, parents, external agencies and other schools, in line with GDPR, to co-ordinate their contributions and you will provide maximum support and ensure continuity of educational provision for all pupils with SEN.
You will hold the National SENCO qualification or be working towards completing the qualification. You will be able to effectively lead and manage the team and work closely with parent/carers and professionals.
