Job overview

Trevelyan School is an inclusive school that has 521 children on roll, 68 of whom currently need additional support.  We have 5 children with EHCPs who are supported intensively by a SEND team consisting of one SENCO, 7 TAs and 3 HLTAs. The school puts the needs of the children at the heart of everything we do.

We have a specially designated nurture room for our vulnerable pupils that is staffed by supportive, well-trained professionals and we deliver an ongoing range of interventions to ensure our pupils’ needs are met.

The SENCO works closely with the Pastoral Manager to draw on a range of external services that we access from the Local Offer and beyond.  Ultimately, we have a vision to ensure Trevelyan’s pupils are supported to be happy and successful, not just at school, but for life.
