Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls, part of the PolyMAT multi academy trust, is an all-inclusive girls’ school and the sister school to Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys, rated Outstanding by Ofsted. The boys’ school has a long-standing reputation in the local area for delivering an outstanding education to its pupils and this will be replicated in the girls’ school.

The successful candidate should have the appropriate SEN qualifications, a good knowledge of the new SEND Reform, and a proven track record in raising the achievement and attainment of students.

We are looking for a SENDCO who:

• Has the ability to lead the strategic development of SEND policy and provision in-line with current legislation.

• Has the ability to lead, motivate and inspire the Learning Support department including teachers, support staff and external agencies.

• Can continue to develop an exciting and challenging curriculum targeted at students who have difficulty accessing mainstream school.

• Should also be an outstanding classroom practitioner with the ability to lead by example.

• Can analyse and interpret data and use this to establish tailored intervention strategies.
