We want to recruit a SENDCO who shares this philosophy  and will actively lead to ensure   we have the “grammar” of inclusion at out heart and that this is the lived experience of our pupils by removing barriers and having the highest expectations.

We want to recruit the best candidate who shares this vision and can bring that to reality and can be flexible to ensure we get this right candidate working as either a dedicated SENDCO or as an Assistant Headteacher as part of the wider leadership team. 

We are looking for the individual who has the following attributes, skills and knowledge: 

  • Supportive of our ethos and who will enhance the Academy’s Catholic life. 
  • A strong record of successful school improvement in a SENCo (assistant/deputy/leader) capacity with the ability to demonstrate clear impact. 
  • Ability to lead the Academy so that all pupils maximise their potential. 
  • Can lead SEND and Inclusion effectively to contribute to the rapid school improvement journey that is necessary. 
  • Ability to command the respect and confidence of pupils, staff, parents.
