In September 2018 Astrea Academy Sheffield opened its doors for the first time. Astrea Academy Sheffield will be the Astrea Academy Trust’s first all-through academy which will embody our vision for an education that truly ‘inspires beyond measure’, whilst representing a beacon at the heart of a part of the city undergoing significant regeneration.
The school will grow with its community and will reach capacity within four years of opening. When all year groups are filled, the school will accommodate the education and personal development of 1370 pupils right through from Nursery to Sixth Form. We are delighted to say at this point we are currently oversubscribed and our current staff and pupils embody our mantra daily; ‘A Relentless Commitment to Excellence – Everyday’

The successful candidate will ensure that the highest standards of learning, development and achievement for pupils throughout the academy. They will be a member of the the Senior Leadership Team which ensures that operational and strategic excellence is delivered across the Academy. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, organised and have the highest level of communication skills. This will be achieved through the clear and effective leadership. The SENDCo will be an integral leader in the academy and embody a passion for all-through education. They will also have experience of coaching, monitoring and line managing staff and be an outstanding classroom practitioner.
