The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher, with experience of supporting young people with special needs (SEN). • Ensuring effective systems of communication, including feedback about student’s learning to inform future planning,
  • Being accountable for the timetabling of appropriate support and intervention for students with SEN, considering resources and the needs of individuals and updating timetables and provision maps as appropriate throughout the academic year,
  • Analysing and tracking student progress using appropriate assessments, data, and records,
  • Ensuring that regular meetings are held to evaluate progress of all students with special needs,
  • Providing direction, training and support for staff working with students with SEN including ASD, PDA and ADHD.
  • Acting as the Designated Teacher for CLA, attending PEPs and CLA reviews throughout the year and recording relevant data in preparation for these meetings.

Our benefits include:

  • Exclusive access to reward and discount scheme
  • Blue Light discount card
  • Commitment to your ongoing training and career progression
  • Paid for enhanced DBS
  • Wellbeing support
  • Teachers’ Pension Scheme and T&Cs

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following personal qualities and skills:

Resilience – We support some of the most vulnerable children in society who have varying degrees of emotional and behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated difficulties so there will be times where your resilience is challenged.

Communication – Communicating with our young people is vital to understanding their needs. Good teamwork and communication play a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff in a timely way.

Organisation – You will have experience of organising and maintaining data systems, including recording, and tracking baseline data and student progress.

Caring – Our young people require the best care we can offer. If you are a naturally caring and compassionate person, this is the role for you.

Adaptability – No two days are the same so being attentive and responsive to the needs of the young people we support is vital.

Above all, we provide a supportive and collaborative working environment where you can flourish in your career and feel incredibly rewarded by helping those who need it most.
