This is a very exciting time for our school. We have recently been recognised by Ofsted as a Good school with Outstanding Leadership & Management, and Personal Development & Welfare. 

Normanton Junior Academy is a busy and dynamic school so there is a lot going on! We are looking for an exceptionally motivated and highly efficient individual who will play a key role in supporting our Headteacher, SLT, pupils and parents. The successful candidate will have both excellent technical and administrative skills alongside excellent people skills.

Normanton Junior Academy is a three-form entry junior school with capacity for 90 pupils in each year group. We currently have approximately 320 pupils aged 7-11 and our numbers are quickly rising!  We offer excellent facilities and have a large office with a highly committed office staff. 

Based in our reception, you will provide support to the school across a range of areas including general administration, finance administration, complex correspondence, reception/visitor matters and pastoral care. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute significantly to the outstanding provision, safety, wellbeing, behaviour and happiness of our pupils and staff.

You should be highly organised and a confident communicator who is capable of dealing with pupils, parents/carers, colleagues and other visitors. Experience of financial procedures and cash handling is desirable and a working knowledge of Integris and HCSS would be welcomed.

The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Headteacher, the Trust business team, and in collaboration with administrators across the Trust’s family of schools.

· Have the ability to form positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders

· Have excellent organisational and communication skills, including supervising staff

· Have the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines while maintaining a good sense of humour 

· Be adaptive in an ever changing environment

· Have a secure knowledge of school management systems, financial management systems and Microsoft Office

· Appreciate the role that efficient administration and organisation can play at the heart of an outstanding junior school

· Will be sensitive and fully able to maintain confidentiality

This is a full time role working 37 hours per week during term time plus 5 extra days during the school holidays (actual days to be agreed with the Headteacher on appointment).
