The Role:
We are looking to appoint a highly technical, efficient, enthusiastic and well organised person with a passion for problem solving to join us as a Senior IT Technician. This is a varied role working across the College with no two days being the same and provides many exciting opportunities for the successful candidate.
The postholder will organise the work load with the IT Technician team to ensure an efficient and effective service to end users, while meeting agreed College service standards including delivery and support to student and staff to meet service level agreements.
The successful candidate will need to hold a graduate qualification in IT/Computer Science and/or professional qualifications such as MCSE, CCNA and CompTIA+.
You will also have experience of Management of Microsoft Networks and Active Directory as well as experience of management of switches, VLANs, wireless APs, web/email filtering and firewalls.

Annual leave
Academic staff are entitled to 40 days per annum (pro rata for part time staff) for the academic year 01 September to 31 August and this is in addition to the Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in England and Wales.
Business Support staff are entitled to 30 days per annum (pro rata for part time staff) for the academic year 01 September to 31 August and this is in addition to the Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in England and Wales.
College Management Team are entitled to 35 days per annum (pro rata for part time staff) for the academic year 01 September to 31 August and this is in addition to the Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in England and Wales.
The College is closed for 2 weeks during the student Christmas break during which time all staff are granted additional leave to be taken at this time.
