Tes is currently seeking an ambitious or aspiring Senior Leader for a well-renowned and highly successful school based in Southwark

This role is initially being offered on a 1-year fixed term contract, with the possibility of a permanent post the following year. Candidates should have a proven track record of success and a strong commitment to inclusive practice. We welcome applications from appropriately qualified practitioners from teaching or non-teaching backgrounds, though experience at senior leadership level and in challenging contexts will be an advantage. The successful candidate will take up the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) within the school, supported by a full-time non-teaching Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) and additional administrative support. 

The role will include coordinating, managing and supporting whole school Inclusion and Behaviour across Year Groups 7 to 13 across KS3, GCSE and A-level. You will lead the SLT effort to improve and maintain positive Inclusion across the whole school, building and developing pupil engagement and pupil aspirations.

The school expects:

  • a UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT, BEd or MEd with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • a relevant Degree 
  • previous experience of teaching across GCSE and A-level
  • experience in Inclusion, behaviour or pastoral role
  • experience of developing provision and enhancing curriculum to support increased pupil outcomes.
