Senior Officer - School and Family Services

This is a temporary Full-Time opportunity commencing from 7 January 2019 to 6 January 2021.

Catholic Education, Canberra and Goulburn plays an integral role in education both in the ACT and NSW, covering 88,000 square kilometres covering the whole of the ACT and extending from Pambula on the south coast, to Crookwell in the North, through to the western point of Lake Cargelligo. Operating 56 Schools and 8 Early Learning Centres Catholic Education Canberra & Goulburn is key to education of over 21,000 students within the Diocese and employing over 2,100 professionals

Reporting to the School and Family Services Leader you will be responsible for the areas of Catholic School Review and compliance, critical incident response and emergency planning as well as complaint resolution and case management of complex school issues.

To be successful in this role you will have significant and clearly demonstrated experience as an educational/specialist leader with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with well-developed complex problem solving ability. You will be known for your ability to influence keys stakeholders and adapt to change requirements with a strong process improvement/innovation focus. Clearly supporting the implementation of the Mission of the Catholic Education Office, providing high quality support services and programs to Catholic School Communities.

You will hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. A Master’s degree in Education/ Leadership/Theology would be desirable.
