Job overview

EF Academy Torbay

Torquay, Devon. TQ1 3BG

Senior Pathway Manager

 (Full Time, permanent)

EF Academy Torbay seeks to appoint an individual who is an enthusiastic and experienced educator with a commitment to enabling the highest possible academic achievement and personal development for students.

As a school we are seeking someone with a clear passion and expertise in caring for, and guiding the development of, students in an international boarding school.  The successful candidate will be joining a school to work alongside colleagues who are dedicated, have immense pride in the school and are motivated by the young people in their care.  The post holder will serve as a senior middle leader, who will lead the Pathway Manager team who together take responsibility for the achievement and personal development of all of our students throughout their time at the school. The role would therefore suit someone who combines knowledge of academic requirements and a strong understanding of the best ways to guide, motivate and care for young people with energy and drive.    Most importantly this role suits someone who is excited by the chance to lead a team whose full-time role is dedicated entirely to caring for and supporting students and their families, without the additional demands of a busy teaching timetable (our current Pathway Managers do not teach).

Closing date for applications is 12 noon on Monday 25th February.

Interviews will take place week commencing 4th March.

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Candidates who wish to apply must submit a completed application form and letter outlining their interest and suitability for the role to Mark.Howe@ef.com by the closing date.

We are committed to the safeguarding of children and young people and we expect all staff to share this commitment. All applicants will be subject to pre-employment screening, which includes an enhanced DBS and reference check prior to appointment.
