Royal Russell is an HMC/IAPS co-educational school with over 1000 pupils between the ages of 3 and 18, situated on a beautiful green campus of 110 acres in the Shirley Hills. We have over 100 boarders in the Senior School, and boast day and boarding facilities amongst the best in the South of England. Our pupils, parents and staff experience a warm and friendly environment with strong pastoral care for every pupil alongside a comprehensive co-curricular and enrichment programme. We aim to build on this alongside improving academic success to become the family school of choice in South London. ISI has recently judged the school as ‘excellent’ in all areas.
We are now seeking an outstanding, hard-working and energetic Administrative Assistant to support the Deputy Heads. You should have previous high level executive and secretarial experience in a professional environment at a senior level, ideally in an education setting. You will have excellent interpersonal, customer-care and organisational skills, and be pro-active, able to use your initiative to make suggestions for change. You will be highly proficient in Microsoft Office packages with fast accurate typing skills and be flexible in your approach to your working hours. As you will be a primary contact with pupils, you should be empathetic and calm, with a listening ear and sensitive to their needs at all times.
In addition to this permanent position we are also looking for high calibre individuals to join our bank of administrative and secretarial staff (post 251) including a full-time maternity cover position to work in the Development Office for approximately 6 months from November 2017 (post 252).
We offer excellent benefits which include a 50% discount on School fees, immediate non-contributory pension and free life cover, free car parking, free lunch and the use of our strength and conditioning room, on-site tennis courts and swimming pool.
