Details of the role
We are seeking to appoint skilled and experienced clerks, or individuals that come from the field of policy, legal or senior executive administrative backgrounds, to support the development of governing boards enabling stronger governance.
You will be expected to provide a professional and comprehensive clerking service to a group of governing boards in accordance with statutory requirements to enable governors to discharge their statutory functions most effectively. This will ensure that every child receives the best possible education.
Your duties will include effective administration through best practice to support the business of governance. With guidance from the Governance Services core team you will also provide statutory advice and guidance to governing boards, headteachers and senior officers.
Our team of clerks benefit from ongoing support and guidance of an experienced core team who can also draw on the wider expertise of Hackney Learning Trust.
You will be required to work flexibly and attend governing board meetings that in the main are scheduled in the evenings during term time and are on average once every two weeks.
