Bishop Burton College is one of the leading land-based Colleges in the UK with strong and sustained growth in student numbers. We provide Further Education and Higher Education at our Campuses at Bishop Burton College near Beverley and at Riseholme College near Lincoln which includes a brand new Showground Campus featuring state of the art teaching environments, engineering workshops, sports facilities, world class laboratories and an industry leading animal management unit. The College animal facilities house a multitude of exotic animals including; meerkats, wallabies, rhea, reptiles, primate and companion species. We also have a commercial boarding kennels and grooming parlour to support teaching and learning practices. You will deliver teaching on related courses and activities to groups of students, prepare and plan lessons and mark assessed work.
Qualified to degree level in an animal based subject, preferably in animal nursing, welfare and sciences, you will also have a good blend of industry and teaching experience including theoretical and practical skills. If you don’t currently hold a teaching qualification, a willingness to work towards one is essential and continuing professional development is actively encouraged, with the College also providing an extensive programme of teaching support and development internally.
