Hours:  37 hours per week, all year round. Normally starting at 10am till 6 pm during term time, with some flexibility during school holidays.


Soundwell Academy are seeking to appoint an honest, hardworking and reliable person with an ability to relate well to children and adults to join our, happy, vibrant and successful school.


Working under the supervision of the Headteacher and Site manager, the Site assistant will take responsibility for closing the building, making sure it’s secure and safe as well as clean and tidy. We are looking for someone who takes great pride in their work and will be determined to make our school a pleasant environment for children and staff to work in.

Learn@ MAT offers places for young people across all ages from Key Stage 1 to its Post-16 provision, including a specific Sixth Form for ASC needs. Learn@ MAT provides an inclusive ethos and approach in which each learner is central to what we offer and how we deliver it. We provide a more personalised learning programme across a very wide scope of areas, using modern facilities and offering a wide range of nationally recognised academic and vocational accreditation from GCSE to BTEC. 

Learn@ MAT promotes a holistic approach embracing the individual needs of each young person. 

As well as the Education Team, Learn@ MAT provides a skilled staff of professionals, including, Speech and Language Therapists, CAMHS workers, Educational Psychologists, Learning Mentors, Occupational Therapists, Counsellors and Play Therapists. 

Our new free school in Soundwell will be an exciting new venture in commissioning special school provision, as it will serve three Local Authorities, South Gloucestershire, the City of Bristol and Bath and North East Somerset. Each will be able to refer young people with the appropriate needs to our Specialist Academy.
