Job Title: Site Lead Teacher

Location: Ilkeston site

Weeks: 39 Weeks

Hours: 37.5

Salary: £33,000 – £37,000

R.E.A.L. Education is an alternative education provider with schools across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire. We provide bespoke learning interventions which put relationships at the heart of the learners programmes.

At R.E.A.L. we have an exciting opportunity for a SEN specialist to join us as Site Lead Teacher to implement an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for learners through individual and small group delivery.

Our Site Lead Teachers work collaboratively and holistically to deliver an education provision which is unique to each learner that gives them the opportunity to achieve their individual potential. Therefore, our ideal candidate is someone who can be flexible and innovative with their planning and delivery of a curriculum.

The successful candidate should have at least two years experience of working with children and young people or vulnerable adults within an education setting and be able to demonstrate experience of working with and developing effective resources for young people with additional needs. In addition to this you must hold a relevant level 6 qualification and be able to produce evidence of previous curriculum specific CPD (e.g. up to date developments on curriculum).

In addition to your holiday entitlement and paid bank holidays, we will offer you 5 days paid dependency leave a year, access to the company’s Westfield Health, support your continuous professional development and provide a bereavement insurance policy.

We believe that building trust and positive relationships with learners is key to successful intervention. If this is something you believe in, then please contact us at applications@real-education.org for a campaign pack, to arrange a visit or for further information.

We hold the right to close this role at any time upon a successful candidate.

R.E.A.L. Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Therefore all candidates will be subjected to Safer Recruitment checks and will not be able to commence employment without a satisfactory DBS, two references and a Social Media check.
