Are you a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual wanting to provide students with the support they need to shape their future? If so, we are looking for a Sixth Form Academic Services Manager to join the team for the brand new Sixth Form at Didsbury High School. 

As a Sixth Form Academic Services Manager you will provide management and administrative support for the day-to-day operation and strategic planning of the Sixth Form. You will support the Director(s) of Sixth Form in ensuring a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for students and parents/carers.

About Us

Didsbury High School is a secondary free school for 11-18 students in South Manchester. The school, and its Sixth Form, is run by the Laurus Trust and replicates the outstanding education already provided by the Trust’s founder school, Cheadle Hulme High School (CHHS). The Sixth Form will provide an academic curriculum that ensures our students go on to the most competitive courses at the most competitive universities. We’re looking for an equally ambitious and organised individual to join our team.

Key Skills & Experience   

  • Sound educational background including GCSEs in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent    
  • Experience working in a school environment would be advantageous    
  • Ideally possess prior experience within a similar role    
  • Experience of delivering to deadlines and achieving set targets to a high standard    
  • Experience of managing others would be beneficial

About Didsbury High School

Didsbury High School is a new secondary free school for 11-18 students in South Manchester. The school is run by the Laurus Trust and replicates the outstanding education already provided by the Trust’s founder school, Cheadle Hulme High School (CHHS), based in Stockport. CHHS is a hugely oversubscribed school and was recently named as one of the UK’s top-performing schools in The Sunday Times, ranking as the 15th non-denominational comprehensive school in Manchester and the North West in the annual Parent Power Survey for 2022.

Didsbury High School is the most oversubscribed first preference school in Manchester, we are a non-selective, non-denominational school, which opened in September 2019. We currently have students in Years 7 to 11 along with our brand-new sixth form that opened in September 2023 with students in Year 12. We currently have a total of 1092 students on roll.

Our students have access to state-of-the-art facilities in a brand-new building behind Didsbury Point. Didsbury is a suburban area of Manchester, 4.5 miles south of Manchester City Centre. The location enjoys the advantages of proximity to the open countryside of Cheshire and the Peak District, strong transport links and the cultural and sporting activities of a major city.
