I have just been asked to fill a role in a small school outside of Derby. The role involves teaching a year 3 class on a part time basis with between 3 and 4 days per week, the other day will be covered by specialist teachers (French, ICT, PE). The ideal teacher will take the role in their stride and be able to start off the year from a strong standing with the class. The school would like a teacher who can go above and beyond in order to make sure their class is on target and each individual child is having their needs taken care of, giving them extra support where necessary. The Teacher will also be in charge of co-ordinating the efforts of the TA’s that interact with their class and using them to their best capability.
The school, although small, has adequate resources for a teacher to be able to build solid lesson plans as well as provide good variety of content in the classroom. Each member of staff has access to private parking on site as well as ample public transport links nearby. The school would be happy to take on an NQT, however an experienced member of staff would be ideal as it would minimise the amount of time to transition to the new school environment.
A great candidate would demonstrate the school’s ethos in their own personality and ambitions, that ethos being to provide and nurture for each child as an individual, while maintaining a professional outlook and drive. Showing these qualities will definitely lead to a candidate being shortlisted for the job and interviewing very well.
