Sommerville is not just an educational facility, but an ‘approach’ that meets the needs of a group of very special students.

At Sommerville, our learners can expect to be supported in their personal, social, emotional and educational growth by participating in personalised learning programmes.  Our parents and whānau can expect to be listened to, be included in their child’s journey, enjoy opportunities to celebrate their child’s successes and feel connected to our wider Sommerville community.  Our Sommerville staff can expect to have the support, professional development and resources they need to be effective practitioners in our unique environment.

In consultation with our Sommerville community, we have chosen our vision ‘Together, learning to live our best lives’ to represent what we aspire to achieve for our learners, whānau and staff.
