Vision for Education, the supply arm of TES, are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant specialising in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to join our successful supply teaching team and to work in a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) School in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.  This position will be to start from September 2018 on a supply basis.

The desired Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant will include supporting the learning of children with a variety of Special Educational Needs (SEN); including Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Difficulties, Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD), Autism (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Behaviour (SEBD) Difficulties. The successful Teaching Assistant will need to be able to engage effectively with students, provide a crucial level of support in the classroom and have a calming and nurturing approach when supporting children with complex needs and learning difficulties.

To be considered for the position as a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant, you must

· Have experience teaching children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including; Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Difficulties, Social, Emotional and Behavioural (SEBD) Difficulties and Autism (ASD/ASC)

· Ideally have experience working as a Teaching Assistant

· Have a passion for teaching with the ability to support with the planning and deliver inspiring lessons

· Have a genuine desire to become part of committed team of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) practitioners

Applications from Teaching Assistants with a Level 2 and/or Level 3 Childcare qualification are encouraged to apply, as well as individuals from a Support Worker and/or Career background with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) experience.
