Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)
Required from September 2019
Due to retirement, a dynamic SENCO is sought to teach and support literacy and study skills across the curriculum. The candidate would be expected to have a post-graduate qualification in SEND, preferably equivalent to a Level 7 in Teaching and Assessing Learners with Dyslexia/Specific Learning Difficulties. This is a key role that will involve working closely with, and under the direction of, the Head of Learning Support to realise the aims of the department. In addition to individual lessons, the candidate will work with small groups, offer in class support and liaise with internal and external professionals.
