We have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice special educational needs (SEN) practitioner to join our committed and hardworking team at The Hewett Academy.
You will support the SENDCO with the implementation of a broad, balanced, and inclusive curriculum for students with SEND across the school, including drawing up and maintaining Education Health Care Plans for students who need them. You will help identify and assess students with barriers to learning, as well as designing and implementing appropriate short-term targets to meet the needs of our students with SEND.
Candidates need to have a minimum of GCSE grade C /4 English and maths or equivalent. Experience of working with students with special educational needs would be of benefit, although training will be provided as necessary.
