The role

A specialist provision who support children of primary age who suffer from physical, speech and language, Autism and learning needs. Your role, as a Special Needs Support Assistant will be to work both individually and part of a team in order to provide adequate support during lessons and activities. The successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to keep their pupils engaged and promote a healthy increase in levels of improvement.

Experience working within SEND settings is vital for this Special Needs Support Assistant role. The school requires staff who will hit the ground running and are not frightened to get involved with activities. Resilience and a strong work ethic will be required.

Team teach training is desired but is not essential to the role. However, experience with personal care, moving and handling will be needed. Vision can offer FREE CPD and training, including Team Teach training.

To be considered for the Special Needs Support Assistant position, you will:

Experience working with SEND and challenging behaviour

Knowledgeable of the UK curriculum

Aware of the procedure with regards to safeguarding in a school environment

Able to tailor approach based on each child's individual needs
