Cherry Garden is an outstanding community special school that meets the needs of children (2-11 years) with severe and complex needs including autism. We are a committed and motivated staff team who are constantly striving for ways to improve outcomes for all children. In September 2018 we will be moving to a new school building in the heart of vibrant Peckham.
The Governors are seeking to appoint a teacher who is enthusiastic and committed with a passion for improving outcomes for the whole child. We can provide excellent CPD opportunities within a supportive and forward thinking environment.
We are looking for someone who:
- has high expectations for all children.
- can demonstrate excellent classroom practise.
- is passionate about enabling children to learn to the best of their ability.
- is able to lead and motivate a team and work collaboratively within teams.
Previous experience within a special needs setting is desirable but not essential. NQTs are welcome to apply and visits are strongly recommended. For informal discussions please contact Teresa Neary, Headteacher on 0207 2374050.
All Southwark schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All posts are subject to pre-employment checks, references will be sought and successful candidates will need to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
Application requests and information about our school can be found on our school website at www.cherrygardenschool.co.uk. Alternatively you can contact the admin. team on 0207 2374050 or by email on firstname.lastname@example.org.
