ABC Teachers, part of TES, are looking to recruit Level 3 Teaching Assistants, experienced within Special Needs to work in an exclusive SEN school in Stoke-on-Trent.

The school caters for students with a range of Special Needs so everyday can be different. The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a SEN environment and preferably have qualifications in relation to special needs (BSL, Makaton, Team Teach). 

The students are aged between 2 and 19, so experience working with older students as well as younger students is important. Due to the ages of the students, a Child and Adult DBS will need to be processed for you if you do not already have one on the update service.

Successful applications will be required to attend a face to face interview to register with ABC. You will need to provide two references; either academic or professional and hold an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure. To be considered for this position you will be required to attend a face to face registration and hold an enhanced DBS check in the Child and Adult Workforce. At the registration we will discuss in more detail the work that you are looking for, your experience to date, and also how we are going to work best for you. 

We will need to gain academic references to cover the last 12 months, one of which must be a school based reference. Our compliance team have a rigorous safeguarding and clearance process and this is how we know we are working with the best possible team of staff to employ in our schools. 

Once you are fully cleared for work then you will be contacted by your consultant who will be able to tell you more about the roles currently available and what may be suitable to yourself.
