We have a vacancy for a part-time Specialist Art Teacher to teach Primary 4 to Primary 7 classes from Thursday 15 August 2019 until at least Friday 27 March 2020 to cover maternity leave.  We invite applications from qualified Primary teachers who have an interest in, and flair for, the teaching of Art, or Senior School teachers who have an interest in working exclusively with this age group.  Applicants should be registered, or be eligible for registration, with the GTC Scotland.  An ability to lead and encourage class teachers in their own professional development would be beneficial.

The role is for a total of 14.5 hours per week, made up of 12.5 hours’ teaching (13.00 to 15.30, Monday to Friday) and 2 hours per week preparation time.  Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to run a weekly Art Club as part of the extra-curricular programme.
