If you have a proven ability to teach Physical Education and a good understanding of how students’ learning is affected by their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development, make the move to St Paul’s Girls’ School new sister school in Chengdu, China.

Sheng Bo International School is the first international government backed school opened as a partnership between SPGS International and Herald Education Hong Kong. A vibrant, co-educational day school, it will offer a full British Curriculum enhanced with the best elements of Chinese culture and learning. Put simply, it will create a space for children to learn, grow and thrive physically, emotionally and academically. Initially offering early primary provision, the school will grow over the years ahead into a full K-12 school.

Teaching Physical Education to Early Years Foundation Stage and KS1, we will rely on you to inspire students, establish a culture and love of PE and support the ambition, values and breadth of the school life. You will also collaborate with other teachers to plan lessons and share ideas, approaches and professional knowledge. Additionally, you will be based in the prosperous, fast-growing Hi-Tech District of Chengdu – a city that offers an exceptional living and working environment. You will also have access to a comprehensive L&D scheme, close links with St Paul’s Girls’ School in London and plenty of opportunities to share ideas with UK counterparts.

To apply, you will need Qualified Teacher Status (UK), PGCE in PE or a Degree in Physical Education or a relevant subject. You will also need a minimum of two years’ Physical Education teaching experience in Early Years education and/or Key Stage 1/2 education in the UK and the confidence to teach the age range of 3-7. In return, you will receive an attractive international benefits package, a generous resettlement offer that includes either accommodation or a housing allowance and paid for travel back to the UK.
