Canary Wharf College East Ferry and Glenworth have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Computing Specialist Teacher to start in  September 2021.

We seek an ambitious and dynamic professional, committed to the highest standard of learning at all levels, to join this highly effective and happy team as a Computing Teacher. This is a role suited to a teacher who is not only a team-player, but is passionate about Computing and IT and is enthusiastic about sharing this with pupils and staff.

Canary Wharf College is a fabulous place to work. In this multi-cultural school community, pupils are well-behaved and motivated with good discipline and supportive families.  The staff team is creative and enthusiastic and has been providing a high standard of innovative education over the course of the pandemic.

The schools are part of a highly successful multi-academy trust and are rated Outstanding. Routines and collaborative working are embedded in our practice, but we constantly seek to improve our work and thus seek energetic innovators. The Trust welcomes staff and pupils from all faiths while operating within a Christian ethos.

Our schools are based in a quiet setting in the heart of the Isle of Dogs in Tower Hamlets, yet close to Mudchute and Island Gardens DLR and central London. The school works long days, balanced by shorter terms.

Please see attached job description for more information on the role. In your statement you should outline your skills and experience and how they demonstrate that you can meet the requirements of the role. You should also write approximately 500 words on “Why I want to work at Canary Wharf College and what I hope to achieve here”. Applications that fail to do this will not be shortlisted.

If you have any questions about the role, please e-mail Michelle Richards, our HR Advisor at mrichards@canarywharfcollege.co.uk.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy prior to the application deadline once a sufficient number of applications have been received.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. Successful candidates will be subject to enhanced DBS checks and references.

Closing date: 12.00pm on Monday 24th May 2021
