Our Lady of Grace Academy Trust was established in April 2015 as a Multi-Academy Trust in East London.  We are an expanding Trust, which currently includes 4 Catholic primary schools (this will grow to five schools in September 2020). 

We founded the Trust with the aim of working “together in Christ” to secure the future of excellent Catholic education in our local area, in a spirit of collaboration.

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join us in September 2020. This is an exciting opportunity to join a cluster of 6 schools across East London driven to ensuring our pupils achieve highly and can be the best they can be. Our groups of schools are diverse and are all located in Newham, East London. This is a term-time only position. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Speech and Language Therapist who has an outstanding track record and is ready for an exciting new challenge to join our Trust. 

The successful candidate will be able to make an important contribution to the school ethos and promote speech and language therapy practice across the school.

The successful candidate will:

o Have at least 2 years of working in a school or therapeutic environment. 

o Ensure seamless collaboration with education staff and other professionals to meet the needs of pupils

o Develop positive relationships with staff, pupils and their families

o A flexible approach to supporting pupils 

o Strong organizational skills and prioritising 

o Have extensive experience in identifying pupils with SLCN, using appropriate assessments and determine provision

o Experience of designing and planning a range of resources that support learners with autism at classroom level

o Apply sound research into whole school practice

o Contribute to EHCP applications through careful provision mapping, and reporting and monitoring of provision

o A commitment to safeguarding children

Job requirements:

o Experience working at a highly specialist level with relevant and recent training in specialist areas

o Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

o RCSLT membership and or ASLTIP membership

Salary - Band 6 £31,365 - pro-rata - termly time only
