Applicants must hold a current NSW Working with Children Check
Have a knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school.
Hold a Degree in Speech Pathology and current membership with Speech Pathology Australia
Criteria:
Experience in administering assessments, therapy sessions with students, completing progress notes/documentation, developing reports and support letters, correspondence with other professionals e.g. doctors, teachers, other therapists, work colleagues
Competency with discipline specific assessments and interventions relevant to young people
Experience and/or enthusiasm for working in schools, excellent communication skills, flexibility, the ability to work collaboratively with teaching teams, and the ability to engage and relate to students, parents and staff
Ability to work autonomously with a varied caseload
Award: Educational Services (School) General Staff Award (averaged) – Classification – Speech Therapist. Remuneration dependant on qualification. Applicant is not expected to work school holidays.

Mt St Patrick College is a co-educational independent Roman Catholic school in Murwillumbah in northern New South Wales. The secondary school teaches students from Year 7 to 12 and offers vocational education as well as the standard academic curriculum.

Facilities
Facilities include a library, industrial kitchen, art workshop, photography laboratory, music rooms, science laboratories, language rooms, drama rooms, basketball courts and a textile room as well as classrooms. Students also make use of nearby sporting facilities in the town. Wireless internet access is provided throughout the school and classrooms include data projectors, interactive whiteboards and video conferencing facilities.
Curriculum
Students are offered a flexible curriculum that allows them to finish subjects at their own pace. Life skills courses, vocational education, online classes and accelerated learning options are available. Acceleration programmes in science and mathematics allow advanced students to sit obtain their School Certificate and Higher School Certificate a year early. Core subjects include English, mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, earth and environmental Science, marine studies, history, geography and commerce. Music, drama and visual arts are offered from Years 7 to 12. Japanese is taught to all Year 8 students with further study optional. Vocational subjects include design and technology, food technology, hospitality and furnishings, computing studies, technics, textiles, industrial technology, technical drawing, information processes and technology and business and office procedures.

It aims to achieve high academic results but also to provide a wide range of cultural, sporting and spiritual experiences to students.
