Contract type: Part Time
Salary: £10,175 per annum (pro rata)
Contract term: Fixed Term

We are one of the top-performing colleges in the country, situated in the cosmopolitan seaside city of Brighton & Hove. Working here offers the combination of both a wonderful place to work and a great city in which to live. Our students and staff are colourful, aspirational and hard-working – which is perhaps why 96% of employees would “recommend BHASVIC as a good place to work” and many of our students go on to Higher Education.

We have a vacancy in our Sports Department for a fixed-term, part-time Sports Assistant.

The Sports Assistant will support the Sports Department to ensure that the large variety of sports teams and enrichment activities offered run smoothly and efficiently. This will involve working with a diverse group of students in the 16-19 age range and liaising closely with the Teachers of Sport to help the Sports fixtures run smoothly. You will be responsible for making sure that the sports equipment is ready and organised for use, meeting with officials and organising the washing of the team kit.

As a college, we are ambitious for our students and we are seeking to appoint staff who can bring the right blend of flexibility, commitment, energy and vision.

For applicants who are invited to interview, there will be ample opportunity to learn more about our provision and needs through discussions with staff.

The appointment will be for 28 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus 1day pro rata). The pro rata salary for this post includes 4.7 weeks of holiday pay. The post is fixed term until July 2020 and is intended to provide a work experience opportunity.
