Woldingham SchoolSurrey

Full time, 36 hours per week 2/3 PE and 1/3 Residential duties

Fixed term, one year post

You are an enthusiastic graduate with a passion for sport which you share with staff and students alike. What’s more, you are committed to delivering an exceptional experience for every one of your pupils. So join the friendly and welcoming team here at Woldingham School – and enjoy all the support you need to achieve your professional goals.

We are seeking a dynamic Sports Graduate to coach and guide students to develop their passion and skills in sport by preparing and directing them through games and practice sessions. Alongside working closely with the Director of Sport you will provide support to the residential teams, delivering pastoral care and activities for the boarders. This will include duties such as supervising study and running activities with the girls at weekends.

Woldingham is a happy and successful Catholic boarding and day school for girls aged 11 to 18 and is firmly established as one of the top girls’ independent schools in the UK, outperforming many schools that are far more selective in their admissions process. Central to this achievement is Woldingham’s academic enrichment and extra-curricular programmes, pastoral support and caring community. Close to London, yet in an outstandingly beautiful rural setting, Woldingham has a strong community and culture building on a proud heritage that stretches back 175 years. We are committed to an exciting future that is underpinned by fresh ideas, an innovative spirit and state-of-the-art facilities.

Salary: Competitive. All staff receive free lunches and refreshments.

Please visit our website to download an application form. Once completed, return it to hr@woldinghamschool.co.uk with a supporting letter.

Closing date: 9am, 19 April 2021.

Interviews will be held week commencing 3 May 2021.

The School retains the right to interview and appoint at any time during the application process.

There is a genuine occupational requirement (as defined by Schedule 9 (Part 1) of the Equality Act 2010) for the postholder to be female. Accordingly, this post is open to women only.

Woldingham School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS report will be required for the successful candidate.

The Woldingham community is a rich one in which many different backgrounds and cultures are represented and many different languages spoken. This diversity is valued and respected and we are keen to welcome applications from all applicants that feel that they meet the requirements of the role, regardless of their background and culture. All job applicants will be considered solely on their ability to do the job.
