Stamford (Resident) Graduate Teacher Development Programme
Stamford Endowed Schools are offering a fantastic opportunity for a recent Sports Graduate to join us for a two year programme, beginning September 2019.
We would like to hear from Graduates from the Sports Sciences who are passionate, not just about their subject, but who can also offer leadership in some element of the schools sporting extracurricular programme, and who are interested in gaining experience in teaching.
The Stamford Endowed Schools will endeavour to support Graduates in their professional development in sports provided within the schools.
The Graduate Teachers will become members of the academic staff, playing a full role in our busy independent day and boarding schools. If, after the first year, a Graduate wishes to pursue a career in teaching, we will assist and part fund a part-time PGCE course, so that they will leave Stamford with enhanced career prospects and the invaluable experience of teaching and living in a busy independent school.
At the end of the two year post we would normally expect Graduate Teachers to further their careers in other schools. However, should a position arise within the Stamford schools then we would be happy to consider an application.
For an informal discussion about the role please contact Mark Nasey, Director of Sport and Performance via email in the first instance on firstname.lastname@example.org
Closing date for application is Monday 21st January 2019 at 12 noon
Interview will be held on Tuesday 29th January 2019
The Stamford Endowed Schools is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
