Broomwood Hall Lower school is a non-selective preparatory school for boys and girls aged from 4-8 years old. Our thriving and successful sports department is seen by all to be a very important and highly valued part of our school and is highly regarded by our pupils and their parents. We set high standards appropriate to the age and ability of each child. Learning to love and understand the importance of physical activity is a key part of our curriculum. Your ability to impart the joy and skill of sport as you teach across our age and ability spectrum is essential to success in this role. 

You will need to have a passion for teaching PE and Sport at EYFS / KS1 and be able to inspire our children to explore and enjoy physical activity. A good knowledge of all round sports teaching appropriate to 4-8 year old pupils and a good understanding of netball, hockey, cricket and rugby are essential, along with a swimming level 2 qualification or willingness to gain it. Umpiring and refereeing experience would be welcome additional skills.  

To apply, you need to be a qualified teacher, or hold a degree in PE / Sport, with prior teaching experience with a track record of supporting young children develop their sporting confidence.
