Job overview

Aarhus Academy for Global Education (AAGE) is currently accepting applications for a STEM teacher as of August 2019 at the middle school level (grades 6-10) who has experience working with the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme. Responsibilities include instruction in the subject areas of Design and Maths and preference will be given to applicants with a strong background in digital technologies.  Applicants must be excellent classroom practitioners committed to school improvement and the achievement of high academic standards. Evidence of skills such as initiative, flexibility, communication and openness to new cultures when working in an international school environment is also required.
 
Minimum requirements:

  • B.A. or B. Sc. degree from an accredited college or university
  • Teaching certification as a middle/secondary school teacher
  • Three (3) years of full time teaching experience at the middle school level
  • Familiarization with interdisciplinary teaching and inquiry-based learning
  • Strong information technology skills
  • Proven ability to work as a team member (collaborative skills)
  • English as a native-level proficiency
