About the role:
We are seeking to recruit an experienced Student Counsellor to provide counselling to 11-18 age group, sharing the role with another Counsellor no the same number of hours. You will manage your own case load and work with other staff to support the emotional and social well-being of students. Duties will include providing a welcoming first point of contact for counselling, assessing student requirements, offering therapeutic aid for referred students, as well as working with outside agencies to ensure student welfare.
You must have a qualification in higher education at degree level and have BACP or UKCP accreditation and a qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Those who are in the process of obtaining accreditation will not be considered. You should have post-qualifying experience of providing short-term counselling to children and young adults.
