Student Services supports students at each stage of their journey from pre-entry to post exit. The Service has a student orientated culture and puts students’ needs at the heart of everything it does.

As a pivotal part of the frontline team, you will motivate and inspire students to take advantage of the Support Service offer and actively engage them in pastoral support and enrichment opportunities working with students to shape and develop provision. We are looking for someone who will provide a friendly, enthusiastic and proactive approach in dealing with all support or enrichment matters. You will work in close liaison with students, staff and external organisations to safeguard students and support them in achieving their full potential by offering holistic support including enrichment tailored to their needs. You will focus on one of the specialist areas Enrichment or Pastoral Support.

Qualified to Level 3 or above in an appropriate subject (Youth and Community, Education, Psychology, Sociology or Health & Social Care). The successful candidate will have experience of working with students facing complex challenges through targeted 1-1 intervention and support to help realise their potential. You will be confident in your experience of engaging students in helping them to remove barriers to their learning. You will assist students with financial support applications and check eligibility criteria, including the assessment of household incomes in accordance with College policy.


You should also be able to demonstrate knowledge of Safeguarding practices, data protection regulations and referral procedures in relation to student information. You will work well independently and as part of a team and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to allow you to build rapport with a wide range of customers.
