Student Manager (Full time - term time only + 10 days)

We are seeking to appoint, a Student Manager. This post was originally introduced at Batley Grammar School in 2015 to fulfil a need within school to enhance and further develop support for our more vulnerable students. It has since evolved and expanded into a post which plays a pivotal role in ensuring that these students are supported in a wide range of ways. The Student Manager is responsible for coordinating strategies, both within school and with outside agencies, which ensure the appropriate support is available to students and their families. This is an extremely varied role, demanding a proactive and organised approach throughout. Collaboration and liaison with the school SENCO is also an important aspect of this role. 

Batley Grammar School is a 4-16 Free School (Academy) with an auspicious 400 year history, (one of the first former independent schools to convert).  Current numbers in the school are 208 in Reception to Year 6 in the Primary Phase and 687 in Years 7-11 in the Secondary Phase. The school is increasing until secondary numbers reach a maximum of 800).

Salary range is S28 – S34 (£26,079 - £31,501 FTE); Term time only + 10days equivalent (£22,568 - £27,260).
