We are looking for someone with talent, ambition, and experience to join our middle leadership team to lead the Art department at Lawnswood School.
The successful candidate will have experience of subject middle leadership, or be an outstanding aspiring middle leader and will have a strong track record of delivering improvement. They will also be a confident leader of staff, able to inspire a love of Art in students of all ages to ensure Art is regularly showcased to all stakeholders. Art is part of the Art and Design Technology Faculty.
We need someone with enthusiasm, a ‘can do’ mentality, an ability to inspire others and translate a vision into reality. We will expect you to lead the Art department and oversee the curriculum, including standards and outcomes; teaching and learning; engagement.

About Lawnswood School
Lawnswood School is a mixed, non-denominational community secondary school and sixth form for pupils aed 11-18. It is located in West Park, Leeds, West Yorkshire.
The school, founded in its current form in 1972, has capacity for up to about 1,500 pupils. Its predecessor schools were the Leeds Modern School, a boys' grammar school, and Lawnswood High School for Girls.
