Job overview

Are you a visionary, inspirational and dynamic leader with the enthusiasm and creativity to ensure that the development of digital technology is at the heart of learning in our school?

This is an exciting opportunity to appoint an exceptional teacher to the position of Subject Leader for ICT and Computing at Ysgol Rhosnesni.  The ability to teach Welsh Baccalaureate would be an advantage.

We have benefitted from significant investment in digital technologies across the school and this role is key to the development of students computing skills across the curriculum as well as providing an important opportunity to provide specialisms in Computing at Key Stage 4.  We are part of the collaborative learning network with Coleg Cambria in Wrexham where some of our students study Computing and access curriculum enrichment opportunities.

The role will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to lead and implement the changes in the digital competency framework with colleagues and establish a first class digital environment across our school.  Programming has become popular at Key Stage 3 and is supported by excellent computing facilities.  This post is an important role within the continuing development of our school.

Candidates are welcome to visit the school before submitting an application.  Please see attached advertisement for full details.

Most importantly, Rhosnesni is a place of optimism and ambition.  We see the huge potential in every child and we know that education can increase opportunities and transform lives.

In the past four years, the school has grown significantly in size. Popular and oversubscribed, we are now the largest secondary comprehensive in Wrexham.
