Job overview

Subject Leader of Economics and Government & Politics

Economics and Government & Politics are very popular subjects amongst the students of Five Ways and we are delighted that many students subsequently elect to study them at university. We are currently looking to appoint a well-motivated and ambitious professional to lead across Economics and Government & Politics; an ability to also lead EPQ would be considered most favourably (with appropriate remuneration).

The successful candidate will;

  • lead two popular subjects;
  • teach ‘A’ Level to very able students many of whom go on to study Economics, Government & Politics, or related courses at Russell Group Universities;
  • contribute to the school’s vibrant extra-curricular programme;
  • ideally have the ability to deliver or lead EPQ

KEFW is a very oversubscribed and “outstanding” co-educational grammar school on the edge of the city. There is a friendly, caring ethos in the school, with an enthusiastic and supportive staff. The staff and students enjoy their learning together and high academic standards are accompanied by an appreciation of fun and a commitment to enrichment beyond the curriculum.

The post would be ideal for a teacher who is looking for experience of leading and teaching their subject to the highest level and working with highly motivated, talented, students.  We are looking for a keen, able, specialist, with experience of teaching A-level who will be able to make a full, school wide contribution.

This post offers an outstanding opportunity for the right candidate to join our team; if you have the energy, ideas and enthusiasm to join us, please contact Mike Sherwin on the below details for further information and a full application pack.
