Job overview

Doha College is a high profile leading British International School, for children aged 3-18, offering a well-balanced, all-embracing curriculum that follows the UK National Curriculum. We are also the first High Performance Learning accredited school in the world. With consistently outstanding educational achievements and excellent examination results at all levels, Doha College will be expanding over the next two years, to become a 10-form primary and 10-form secondary school operating across two campuses.

We are now seeking applications for the position of a Supply Arabic Teacher with the ability to teach Native and Non-native Arabic and Islamic studies. Candidates should be energetic, adaptable and enthusiastic classroom leaders. Experience of teaching Arabic to Primary aged children is essential, as is a formal teaching qualification. The ability to speak another language, such as French would be a distinct advantage.

A high standard of written and spoken English is an essential requirement for all our positions.

You should note that this is a casual, short-term position and some flexibility will be required. You will be working for approximately 8 to 10 hours a week, split over two/three working days. The primary school is split over two campuses and candidates would be required to work in either our Al Waab or West Bay Campuses according to the needs of the timetable.

Only candidates with family sponsorship currently residing in Qatar will be considered for this position.

Doha College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including reference checks with previous employers and a criminal records check. Teaching staff will also be subject to a Barred List and Prohibition from Teaching Check.

Closing date is: 21 September 2019

We reserve the right to close a position once we have received sufficient applications to form a short-list. Early application is therefore encouraged.
