Hours:37.5 hours per week

Under direction of the Post 16 Lead, the successful candidate will work mainly 1:1 with our Post 16 students, with emphasis on supporting their college placement by interpreting information and presenting this in an ASD friendly format. This role also involves providing college support in terms of staying on task, keeping track of assignments, recording progress and interventions, but also developing strategies for independent living, community and work experience.

You will have the ability to support our students’ academic learning in an autism friendly way, as well as supporting wider behavioural and emotional needs.

The successful candidate will also:

  • Share our passion for high aspiration and achievement for all
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Hold a full, clean driving licence and be a confident driver in order to transport students to and from college
  • Be highly organised and adaptable.


The following skills would also be of benefit to this role:

  • A good knowledge of autism and/or experience of working with young people on the autistic spectrum.
