Teaching ServiceBelmore South Public School has an enrolment of 267 students, including 81% of students with English as an Additional Language or Dialect. Belmore South has a clear vision for learning based on the principles of visible learning combined with a future-focused mindset. This includes a commitment to co-teaching in flexible learning spaces and an emphasis on future focused education. The school has a committed, collaborative and enthusiastic staff, with a mixture of experienced and early career teachers and a passionate and proactive parent community. Current priorities include literacy, numeracy, professional development and wellbeing and inclusion. The school also provides a broad range of extra-curricular activities for students.
Approval to teach infants and primary (K-6) and approval to teach Community Language (Arabic).
Demonstrated ability to implement a quality Arabic Community Language program that is differentiated to all student needs.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with staff, students and parents.
Proven capacity to implement effective classroom management systems to support student wellbeing.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
This is a permanent part time position for 2 days per week 0.4FTE.
