Genesis Education Trust is an expanding collection of outstanding and good schools in East London with a fantastic track record of training and progression opportunities for NQTs and more experienced teachers. We are looking for ambitious and dedicated staff to join in our expansion, to work at St Margaret’s in Barking. We can offer a strong team, first class training, dedicated and professional colleagues and rapid progression.
St Margaret’s is 2-form entry school and is graded good.
We value the development of all members of staff through our coaching and mentoring programme. If you are joining us as an NQT, we will ensure that you feel fully supported throughout your NQT year. You will have an experienced, fully trained mentor who will support you every step of the way in your development to outstanding. Our NQTs tell us that they are happy, confident, well supported, well trained and are valued members of our team.
If you are joining us as a 2nd/3rd year teacher or beyond, we will be keen to find out how best we can work with you so that you feel supported, inspired and a key part of the team. We have many structures in place to support 2nd/3rd year teachers and those aspiring to leadership. Our 2nd/3rd year teachers and leaders tell us that they have access to first quality training and mentoring which enables them to enhance their practice very quickly and that there are opportunities to develop as a leader should they wish to do so.
If you are interested in joining our team, it would be great if you could come and visit us at St Margaret’s prior to application. Please contact Mrs Heather Fleetwood (contact details below) and let us know the dates and times when you can visit. We look forward to hearing from you!
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo Child Protection screening, including checks with past employers and the DBS. References will be taken up before interviews are offered.
