Glyne Gap School is an outstanding special academy serving pupils aged 2-19 years with severe and profound learning disabilities. Many of our pupils have other additional needs including physical, medical, sensory and autistic spectrum condition. The school has a roll of 115 split over three sites (Nursery, main school and Faculty); 12 of our pupils are based at the Nursery and there are 27 students based at the Faculty.

Our primary purpose is to facilitate outstanding pupil learning. This belief runs through everything we do at Glyne Gap. Good and Outstanding learning for pupils is facilitated through Good and Outstanding teaching. The school has been deemed to be outstanding by Ofsted; it is our belief that learning and teaching can always get better.

A child's parents are the first, longest and most important educator! The school believes that the most effective learning takes place when school and home work together.

Learning is the fundamental vehicle that will enable our pupils to become independent, autonomous and self- determining people and this will determine their later quality of life and happiness.
