Teaching ServiceCessnock High School (622 students, including 23% identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander) is a contemporary and future focused learning community located in the historic heritage school buildings on Aberdare Rd, in the picturesque Hunter Valley. We proudly foster strong relationships with our partner primary schools and have a strong focus in Aboriginal Education, Special Education, Middle School and STEM.
Approval to teach Careers.
- Experience and knowledge in the use of NESA Schools Online for all stage 5 and stage 6 student management requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage the whole school community in support of quality educational and employment outcomes for students.
- Proven capacity to successfully apply expert knowledge of career pathways including apprenticeships and traineeships tertiary education and training options for a diverse range of students.
- Ability to produce high quality and innovative career education programs focusing on successful post school options for Cessnock High School students.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
