Erskine Park High School is a comprehensive Western Sydney school located in the Eastern Creek network of schools. The school’s 1043 enrolment includes 5% of students who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and a further 30% of students who come from backgrounds where English is an Additional Language or Dialect. The school also has a Support Unit of four classes. Key whole school initiatives include a BYOD program that harnesses an innovative use of technology; a focus on the explicit teaching of capabilities into classroom practice; inclusive high potential opportunities; vocational education and inclusive disability provision. The school is a member of the St Clair Erskine Park (STEPS) community of schools. Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach careers or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in the Careers Adviser qualifications approved by the New South Wales Department of Education
Demonstrated experience in managing and monitoring school to work initiatives and/or transition programs in a large comprehensive high school
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within administration and wellbeing teams to personalise post school pathways for every child.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to form productive relationships with students, families, staff and external agencies.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
